Why Roll Format Outperforms Sheets at High Volume
The difference between sheet format and roll format is not about paper. It is about how your counter operates during a lunch rush. With pre-cut sheets, every wrap starts with a team member pulling a single sheet from a stack. At a counter doing 200 orders between 11:30 and 1:00, that pull-and-separate motion happens 200 times. It takes roughly two to three seconds per wrap which adds six to ten minutes of handling time across the shift, concentrated in the busiest 90 minutes of the day.
With a roll on a dispenser mount, the team member pulls and tears in one motion. The sheet length is controlled by the pull. There is no peeling, no separating, no fumbling with a stack. Two to three seconds become one. Across 200 wraps, that is three to six minutes recovered at the point in the day when every minute counts.
Roll format is not the right choice for every operation. A food truck with low throughput and no counter space for a dispenser mount is better served by pre-cut sheets. A deli counter doing consistent high volume during a defined lunch window is where roll format earns its place.

If you are unsure which width fits your dispenser, pull a standard sheet from your current stock and measure it. That measurement is your roll width.
Customized White Kraft or Brown Kraft Rolls
Both materials are available in roll format. The choice follows the same logic as the sheet format visual identity and buyer type.
- White bleached kraft gives a clean, uniform print surface. Full colour logos print sharply across the full roll length with consistent colour from the first tear to the last. The professional standard for most sandwich shops and fast casual restaurants.
- Brown unbleached kraft gives a natural surface with no chemical treatment. One and two colour logo print gives clear, consistent results. Suited to artisan operations, eco-first brands and food businesses where the natural aesthetic is part of the identity.
Both materials are FDA 21 CFR 176.170 compliant for direct food contact. Both are available from the same minimum order quantity. If you are switching from sheets to rolls and currently use white deli paper sheets, order white kraft rolls. The material and print quality are identical only the format changes.
