Heat Seal Rolls & Sheets

Heat Seal Rolls & Sheets
★★★★★ 4.9 Customer Satisfaction Score

However good the coating, heat seal paper only performs if it arrives in the right format for your machine, the right width, the right core, coated on the right side, cut or perforated where you need it. Get the format wrong and a perfect coating jams the line or seals the wrong face. Custom Printed Papers converts heat seal paper into rolls and sheets matched to your equipment, for packers across the USA and Canada, as part of the custom heat seal paper range.

Heat seal rolls and sheets are heat-seal-coated paper converted to fit your sealing machine. Web rolls feed automatic form-fill-seal and lidding lines, die-cut sheets and lids fit tray-sealers, and perforated rolls allow tear-off. Each comes single or double-sided coated, wound to your core and width.

    Web rolls for automatic lines

Web rolls supply continuous heat seal paper to automatic form-fill-seal, lidding, and pouch lines. The web feeds off the roll, the machine forms, fills, and seals in one continuous motion, and roll width and core size are wound to match your equipment. This is the format for high-volume, automated sealing.

For any line running at speed, the roll is the format. The machine controls temperature, pressure, and dwell as the web passes the seal bar, so consistency depends on the roll feeding clean and true. Two numbers make that work: core diameter and web width. Match them to your machine and the roll runs without tension or tracking trouble from the first metre.

Die-cut sheets and lids for tray-sealers

Die-cut lids are pre-cut to a tray’s exact shape and diameter for tray-sealing machines, often with a peel tab and a pinseal grip pattern for seal consistency. Pre-cut sheets suit manual and semi-automatic sealing. Cutting the lid to the tray removes waste and speeds the seal.

Where a roll suits a continuous line, die-cut lids suit tray-sealers and lower-volume or varied production. A lid cut to the tray drops straight into the sealing tool, with a tab to start the peel and a pinseal pattern that improves grip and seal evenness. We die-cut to your tray dimensions, so the lid fits the flange precisely and seals clean every time.

    Single or double-sided coated

Single-sided coated paper seals on one face and prints or stays plain on the other, which suits most lidding and pouches. Double-sided coated paper seals on both faces, needed where the paper bonds to itself or seals on both sides, as in some sachets and pouches. The coated side must face the seal.

Getting the coated side right is fundamental, and it is set at converting. A lid seals down onto a tray, so the coating faces down and the print faces up; a fin-sealed sachet may need both faces coated. We confirm which faces must seal in your application and coat accordingly, then mark the roll so your operators load it the right way.

    Perforation, slitting, and winding

The finishing details make the roll usable on your line. Perforation allows clean tear-off between units or sachets. Precise slitting holds the width tolerance an automatic machine needs to track. Winding direction and tension are set so the web pays off correctly into your sealer. Tell us your machine make and model, web width, core size, and whether you need perforation, and we convert to suit.

    Frequently asked questions

What roll formats do you offer? Web rolls, die-cut lids and sheets, and perforated rolls, single or double-sided coated, wound to your core and width.

How do I know which width and core I need? Share your machine make, model, web width, and core size, and we wind to match it exactly.

What is single vs double-sided coating? Single-sided seals on one face; double-sided seals on both, for paper that bonds to itself or seals on both sides.

Can you die-cut to my tray shape? Yes. We die-cut lids to your tray’s shape and diameter, with peel tabs and pinseal patterns available.

Can rolls be perforated? Yes. Perforation allows clean tear-off between sachets or units.

What is the MOQ and turnaround? Orders start at 50 units, with a free proof and seal sample, in 4 to 6 business days.
